DALKEY BOOK FESTIVAL

celebrating Dalkey Book Festival with Plein-air painting

No place like home! Dalkey Book Festival is a perfect excuse to visit home town. Check out what has been going on there since Gerard left for London. Costal village of Dalkey flourishes during those few days when the book lovers make their way along Dublin Bay to cherish written and spoken word.

But not only. The sense of celebration permeates the air. One can only be proud to be a part of it. While in Dalkey Gerard took to his favourite sites, the Coliemore Harbour, Dalkey Island, Sorrento Terrace. Wherever he went there were familiar faces greeting him. The Finnegan's Pub would gather everyone at the end of a day, special guests, visitors, locals, friends and to-be-friends over a pint. Finally, the festival closed with a performance of Gerard's talented musician friends like Paddy Sherlock, Drazen Derek and Dave Flaming entertaining the Finnegan's crowd. Happy days!
